ABSTRACT
The recent environmentel problem vary from cause and results,

the problem of domestic sdid wastes has become a worldwide issue
in all societies and countries These wastes generate serious effects
for human health and their environmemt, since these wastes are
considered serious source of pollution, therefore, it has been become
necessary to adopt the recent scientific means in order to dispose
these wastes either by making use of them by reusing and recycling
or dispose them completey by burning or landfilling.

In this research, the author dealt with this important problem
in Bahrain through overviewing the previons studies related to this
issue, and also through the field work visits accomploshid to the
sites of waste burning The researcher found that there were no ideal
burners built according to the recommended standard world criteria,
instead , the traditional open burners were the only used in Bahrain
which have a negative effects on the envifonment where the burning
is practiced in the private farms which results in a severe air pollution
due to the gases result from the open burning process.

The researcher recommends the necessity of establishing ideal
burners to get rid off these domestic solid wastes. Also, they can
be used in disposing the medical and industrial unserious wastes.
Moreover, the author recommends the use of modern techniques such
as geographic information system (GIS) to help in delineating the
proper locations of setting up the healthy burners that have positive
effects on society and environment.
